Women of India Series Bahrain host bake sale

The Women of India Series Bahrain (WISB) is hosting a “Bake Sale”, a charity initiative, as part of its Christmas celebrations in the spirit of sharing and caring.

Through this initiative, home bakers have been urged to volunteer with mini-cupcakes on Christmas theme, free of cost.

Sales proceeds will be donated to the Bahrain Friendship Society for the Blind.

The event is being organised with the support of 4PM News and Malayali Mums in Middle East Bahrain. Interested bakers and buyers can call 39062720, 36047200 (Whatsapp).

Apart from this, WISB also organised an online drawing and painting competition in association with Smart Kids on December 19.

The contest was held in four categories: group A (4 to 7 years), group B (8 to 11 years), group C (12 to 19 years) and group D (women above 20 years).

Three winning entries from each group will be featured in WISB’S 2021 tabletop calendars which will be sold and all proceeds will go to charity.

The group, which is aimed at women empowerment, has been active in Bahrain’s social front for almost a year now.

WISB facilitates sessions for the talents to express themselves through the art of dance, acting, yoga, music, martial arts and so forth.

The programme, initially, was designed as a 10-month intensive workshop for women to explore their hidden talents supported by well-designed grooming sessions.

However, the pandemic put in restrictions, which made the group go online.
