Bahrain’s participation at GITEX a big success

The Kingdom of Bahrain has marked 14th consecutive year of participation at the GITEX Dubai 2020 with flying colours.

This year, the Bahrain Pavilion at GITEX – the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East – included 24 emerging, medium and large Bahraini companies working in the field of information and communication technology.

Bahrain was among 70 countries around the world that took part in the event held under the gloom of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Bahraini exhibitors took advantage of the opportunity to learn about the latest global trends in the technology industry and the benefits of participation in expanding their businesses and developing their products and services.

This year, the Bahraini Pavilion received a number of delegations from participating countries, including the Ajman e-government delegation and those from Armenia, Belgium and others.

The pavilion was established with the support of the Labour Market Fund (Tamkeen).

Many Bahraini companies succeeded in signing partnership agreements with a number of international and regional companies.

Itisalakum CEO Rashid Al Senan said that its company’s participation in the Bahraini National Pavilion this year provided them with the opportunity to learn about information-technology market trends.

“We were able to seal a set of agreements that will have a significant impact on the growth of our company on one hand and the development of the Bahraini market on the other hand,” said Al Senan.

In the same context, Atiaf Holding Company Board of Directors chairman Obaidly Al-Obaidli, said: “We have built partnerships that meet the needs of the Bahraini market, including contracts with Ultimate Arabia, and an agreement with Incube which specialises in holding remote meetings.”

In addition, it also signed a strategic agreement with Singaporean company Inspire Tech to promote its application that works on monitoring the body’s job performance on its own, which would help schools and other companies, students and employees to reduces costs and increases efficiency.
