Public school faces severe criticisms
A number of parents swarmed social media with complaints following a post in Instagram criticizing a public school of a number of issues, and the Ministry of Education for not taking necessary action.
The post claimed the school raised fees twice a year, increased the cost of books, cancelled the discounts for siblings and takes money for trips that eventually gets cancelled.
It also alleged some staff members are under-qualified and the classes are too crowded. It also criticized the school for not providing enough time to students to do their homeworks.
The post flayed the school for not providing appropriate transportation facilities and claimed no one monitors students during recess.
The parents also complained about a math programme called UCMAS, claiming that adds no value to the students.
