Bahrain holds 14th batch of officer cadets’ graduation ceremony

The graduation ceremony of the 14th batch of officer cadets – the Ahmed Al Fateh Brigade – was held yesterday at the Isa Royal Military College, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander.

HM the King deputised the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, to attend the ceremony on his behalf.

Upon arrival, the Commander-in-Chief was welcomed by National Guard Commander, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, and Defence Ministry’s Undersecretary, Major-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.

The national anthem was played, and then the Commander-in-Chief inspected the military parade of the graduates. Verses from the Holy Quran were recited, and then the military parade of the Isa Royal Military College’s graduates began.

After that, the Isa Royal Military College Commandant, Major-General Abdulrahman Khalifa Al-Nuaimi, delivered a speech. Then, cadet officer, Ali Abdulla Al-Marri, recited a poem on the occasion.

The commander-in-chief was briefed on the 14th cadet officers’ session and then honoured the top-achieving graduates. Then, the commander-in-chief was presented with a commemorative gift by the Isa Royal Military College Commandant.

After that, the graduating batch (the Ahmed Al Fateh Brigade) handed over the Isa Royal Military College’s banner to the incoming batch (the 15th Al-Qadisiya Brigade), and the graduates took the official oath.

The Commander-in-Chief presented them with military sciences diplomas. The Commander-in-Chief expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King, the Supreme Commander, for his constant support for the BDF, and congratulated the graduates on their success.

He urged them to pursue their education, and take advantage of the specialised training programmes provided by the BDF to hone and develop their skills, as well as to prepare them to carry out their patriotic duties to the fullest.

The Commander-in-Chief welcomed the participants from brotherly Yemen and wished them every success. He also extended thanks to all the affiliates of the Isa Royal Military College for their dedicated and fruitful work.

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa affirmed the crucial national role played by the BDF, through carrying out the takes assigned to it the fullest, which has entitled it to be a strong force with distinguished professional combat readiness.
