BCCI in Russia as part of Bahrain delegation

In a bid to streamline trade and investment and promote the Kingdom of Bahrain and its economic standing, a delegation from Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Russia.

The Bahrain delegation comprising Chairman of the Chamber and Head of the Bahraini side of the Bahraini-Russian Joint Business Council, Khalid Al Moayed, alongside Second Vice-Chairman Jawad Al Hawaj was headed by the Governor of the Capital Governorate Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.

During the visit, Shaikh Hisham stressed Bahrain's keenness to open up to new prospects of cooperation in economic and investment areas, and benefiting from international expertise.

This came in the Capital Governor's speech delivered in the presence of members of both delegations including Vladimir Kalinov, President of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.

In this regard, Al Moayed revealed, “The visit will result in signing agreements and MoUs between the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its counterparts from Sochi City and Saint Petersburg and activating existing ones”. 

“The memorandums will serve as a solid ground and a facilitator for further cooperation and partnership,” he added. 

“The wise leadership of Bahrain has been very keenness on stepping up the relations with Russia, and we are equally keen on strengthening economic and business ties with Russia and exploring as well as exploiting investment and business opportunities,” said Al Moayed.
