Preserving Manama's heritage sites discussed

Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received the Board of Directors Chairman of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, dignitary Khalid bin Mohammed Kanoo, and Deputy Board Chairman, Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, and discussed them with ways to enhance cooperation between BACA and the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group.

Shaikha Mai expressed sincere thanks to dignitary Khalid bin Mohammed Kanoo for his constant keenness to support the cultural movement in the kingdom, stressing that attaining civilisational achievements requires concerted efforts by all parties, and strengthening cooperation with the private sector.

They discussed ways to bolster cooperation between the two sides to develop infrastructure in Manama, especially Bab Al-Bahrain.

Khalid bin Mohammed Kanoo commended BACA’s efforts, affirming that cooperation between the Group and BACA will result in many projects that will consolidate the kingdom’s civilisational and cultural status.

He pointed out that preserving Manama’s deep-rooted cultural and civilisational heritage elements through cultural infrastructure projects will contribute to maintaining an important part of the kingdom’s cultural identity.
