Vaccination uptake positive, appointment by available stock

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that the rollout of the Kingdom’s Covid-19 vaccination program is ongoing in accordance with the National Vaccination Campaign.

The ministry stated that more than one million vaccinations have been on order since last August, subject to the satisfactory completion of approval processes and in accordance with the National Vaccination Campaign, with Bahrain being one of the first countries globally to place orders with vaccine manufacturers.

The dates for those registering to be vaccinated are determined by the availability of stock already received within the Kingdom of Bahrain, it added.

The ministry stressed that it continues to coordinate with approved vaccine providers on the receipt of further consignments, aligned to their logistical plans for vaccine distribution.

It reported that in only 13 days the number of vaccinated citizens and residents in Bahrain has reached 56,041, reflecting positively on the Kingdom’s collective national responsibility.

The ministry thanked all those who have participated in the vaccination program to date, protecting themselves, their families and the community.
