Works Ministry announces road closures

The Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning said that the improvement works on Sheikh Zayed Highway necessitate closure the closure of two lanes, while one lane will be provided for eastbound traffic

It also announced the full closure of Road 3205, adding that the traffic movement will be diverted to surrounding roads.

The closure will be effective from Thursday, December 31 at 11 pm to Sunday, January 3 at 5 am. All road users are requested to observe and obey the traffic rules for the safety of all.

The minister said that improvement works of King Hamad Highway necessitate closure of some lanes as the following:

1- Close the right lane for the northbound traffic near its junction with Highway 96 and one lane will be provided for traffic movement. The closure will be effective from Thursday, December 31 at 10 pm to Saturday, January 2 at 5 am. 

2- Close Highway 96 for traffic coming from King Hamad Highway and divert the traffic to the surrounding roads.

The closure will be effective from Thursday, December 31 at 10 pm to Sunday, January 3 at 5 am. In a statement, it announced that improvement works on King Hamad Highway near Askar Junction will necessitate the closure of one lane on stages and one lane will be provided for southbound traffic.

The closure will be effective from Thursday, December 31 at 10 pm to Sunday, January 3 at 5 am. All road users are requested to observe and obey the traffic rules for the safety of all.
