A report by the contact tracing team has revealed that 31 members of the same Bahraini family, including 14 children, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the Ministry of Health announced.
The Health Ministry said that the patients have contracted the virus because they have not abided by the decisions and precautionary measures recommended by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), calling on the citizens and residents to continue their commitment to the health measures in force to protect their health.
The Health Ministry indicated that the laboratory tests conducted recently showed an increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases resulting from contacting active cases because of their non-commitment to the precautionary measures and health guidelines.
The Ministry called on the citizens and residents to abide by the guidelines that ensure them the highest levels of health security, including limited family gatherings, wearing face masks and shields, as well as adherence to social distancing, stressing that commitment to the precautionary measures is a national duty.
