The iconic Ain Rayaa Garden is to be revamped, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch projects across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Esam bin Abdulla Khalaf unveiled the BD170,000 schemes, as parts of development projects in the areas of Al-Dair and Samaheej.
The minister reviewed details of the project with Council of Representatives member Mp Dr. Hesham Al Asheeri, Muncipal Councilor Fadhel Al Oud, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa and Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services Shawqiya Humaidan.
The project which covers 1600 square metres will feature investment areas, green spaces, public services, parking lots and other facilities for visitors.
A monument with a distinctive design will also be set up near the iconic Ain Rayaa, which symbolizes the beautiful memories of the residents of the Al Dair and the Samaheej who lived through that past era of agricultural heritage.
