‘Goodbye my daughter Zahra’

A Bahraini toddler was killed in a horrific accident in the Northern Governorate yesterday. The three-year-old was reportedly mowed down by a car driven by a 33-year-old Asian man in Duraz area in the afternoon.
The Interior Ministry said it is carrying out the relevant procedures, without disclosing any further details. Sources confirmed that the girl was identified as Zahra Mohammed Sadiq and that the man was actually the family’s driver.
The girl was reportedly walking in front of the vehicle unnoticed by the driver, who ran her over and caused fatal injuries to her. She was announced dead at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
In an obituary circulated by Mohammed Sadiq, the victim’s father, on social media networks, he said: “Goodbye my daughter. What a difficult word; the word of no coming back. Goodbye Zahra. A flower in heaven you may be.”
