The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has issued directives to all hotels, tourist establishments and their facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain not to allow any gatherings, celebrations, weddings or conferences in hotels, restaurants, halls, lounges and all open and closed event houses until further notice.
The authority confirmed in its notice to tourism establishments and hotels: “Based on the Public Health Law No. 34 of 2018 to prevent the spread of Covid 19, and considering the current situation, all tourist and hotel establishments and their facilities must not hold any gatherings, celebrations, weddings or conferences in hotels, restaurants, halls, lounges and all open and closed event houses until further notice.”
Last week, the Health Ministry recorded a significant increase in the number of existing cases of the Coronavirus, after conducting contact tracing operations that showed an increase in infection among women and children. This, according to officials, is due to lack of commitment and societal contact between parents and relatives.
