People in Bahrain urged to take COVID-19 vaccine

Primary Health Care Centers’ Medical Services head Dr Hala Al Jassim has renewed her call on the community to register to take the COVID-19 vaccine, which is provided free of charge to all citizens and foreign residents in two doses as part of the national efforts to fight the coronavirus.

Dr Al Jassim noted the importance of assuming national responsibility for the sake of the homeland and for the safety of everyone. People wishing to take the vaccine, who are aged 18 years and above, can register through the website of the Ministry of Health www.healthalert.gov.bh or the BeAware Bahrain application or by calling 444.

Dr Al Jassim stressed that human health is a top priority for the government which is keen on preserving the health and safety of all members of the society and protecting them from diseases and epidemics.

She stressed that all vaccines approved in the Kingdom have proven their effectiveness and safety after they have been studied and evaluated by the relevant authorities of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) and the Health Ministry ’s Vaccination Committee.

The first dose is given after setting a date for vaccination for those who have registered. The second dose comes 21 days after the first one.
