RERA Chief Executive receives Bahraini real estate valuers

His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), received in his office the real estate valuer Mohammed Faris who is considered the first Bahraini valuer to be graded according to the programme by RERA with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to obtain the class (A).

Mohammed Faris  passed all the necessary examinations and requirements graduating from the transitional class (D) reaching class (A) as required in the Real Estate Sector Regulation Law (27) of 2017 and resolution (2) of 2019 (Regulating the Real Estate valuation Profession) on the Licensing of Real Estate Valuers. 

HE. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa also received the real estate valuer Mayan Adnan Mahmoud who is the first and youngest Bahraini to obtain Class (B) valuation licence. She holds a Master's Degree in real estate valuation from the United Kingdom and is currently working on completing the requirements for obtaining a class (A) licence, in addition to being in the final stages of completing the requirements for obtaining international membership (MRICS) from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which allows its holder to practise all categories of valuation globally.

For their part, Bahraini valuers Mohammed Faris and Mayan Adnan expressed their sincere appreciation towards His Excellency the CEO of RERA for the warm welcome, praising RERA’s efforts and its role in regulating the real estate professions, and urging Bahrainis to achieve more.

His Excellency the CEO of RERA conveyed his interest in the added value of investing in the human resource area. He said this would achieve a positive impact on the quality of the real estate sector. His Excellency stated that a real estate valuer who has been trained in the best scientific methods in this field will contribute to providing a sustainable real estate sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain in addition to creating a professional valuation. Statistics have proven a need for this profession that can be practised globally due to it being based on international standards.

His Excellency also added that the progress of the Bahraini citizens is the core of developing government’s achievements, and investing in the human resource is the basis of the training programmes. He stressed that this is an integral part of RERA. His Excellency wished them all success in their field of profession.
