The Ministry of Health has launched mobile units to vaccinate the elderly in line with the directives of the Coordinating Committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

It is part of efforts to ensure the health and safety of citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This comprehensive vaccination service is a first of its kind in the region.

Medical staff visits the elderly in their homes and gives them the vaccine to protect them against the virus.

The Ministry monitors the applications submitted through its website and lists the needs of the elderly as well as people with special needs who register to receive the vaccination.

It has set up a mechanism to dispatch mobile units in all governorates of the Kingdom.

The medical staff is closely coordinating with the families of the applicants to inform them on the date of the vaccination team’s visit.

The Ministry is implementing the government’s proactive plans in order to achieve the desired goal of reaching the highest levels of health security to confront the pandemic.

Those who are wishing to take the vaccine can register online through https://healthalert. gov. bh, or call 444
