Bapco Supply Company yesterday announced the closure of its Tubli service station for comprehensive development works.

The move is part of Bapco Tazweed’s programme to renovate oil refuelling stations, the company said.

Bapco said the new Tubli station would have various complementary services such as a fast-food restaurant, a supermarket, a car service centre, and other shops.

The new fuel station will have nine pumps that can service 16 vehicles simultaneously, Bapco added.

Jassim Al Shirawi, Bapco Tazweed Board of Directors Chairman, stated that the redevelopment programme for the old stations comes in line with Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030 and follows the directives of Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Oil, to enhance services provided to citizens and residents in the Kingdom.

The company said it pursues highest international standards in building fuel stations and will use double-walled ground fuel tanks and tanks equipped with a monitoring system to detect petroleum spills.

The project is expecting completion in the third quarter of the current year.

Bapco Supply Company was established to manage and expand the network of fuel stations in Bahrain. Out of the 51 fuel stations in the Kingdom, Bapco operates 19 of them.
