Arabic calligraphy competition: Bahraini student wins first place

Young calligraphers from Bahrain once again made the Kingdom proud in the Arabic calligraphy competition organised by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.
Lifting the trophy this time was Ali Hussain Al-Muharraqi from Sanabis Elementary School for Boys. Last week, Ali Hussain Al Muharraqi from Sanabis Primary school for Boys and Muhammad Ishaq from Riffa Preparatory School for Boy bagged first and third prices, respectively in their competitions.
The Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States is an intergovernmental organisation working within its seven-member states to promote cooperation in the culture, education, science, information and documentation.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar are part “Abdullah Al- Saeed, the teacher of design and technology and the person in charge of the school’s calligraphy group, provided me with all support and training.”
“I was selected to participate in the competition by Professor Saeed Dagher, a teacher of the Arabic language.” He said he is passionate about the Arabic Calligraphy and its beauty. “Thanks to the guidance and care of the school and my family, I was able to make great use of my abilities.”
