Bahrain Indian School adopts new teaching, learning styles

Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School has literally redefined education since its inception.

The school, with the hard work, competence and dedication to achieve its aims, provide ample facility for students not only to pursue academic excellence but also explore their co-scholastic potential.

The rapidly developing coronavirus crisis put the world on pause in 2020, but this pause was momentary for Bahrain Indian School fraternity. The school took giant strides and adapted the new teaching-learning styles within no time.

Not only the school spearheaded to online learning, however, it equally helped the parents in answering numerous queries and worries of their child’s education.

BIS was the first school which made provisions for the delivery of books at the doorstep of each child. Orientation sessions and Online Parent-Teacher Meetings conducted from time to time equally helped the parents to come to terms with using technology for the ongoing learning of their children.

The IT department along with the Management was instrumental in not only training teachers but also the parents for the smooth running of classes for their wards.

There was a complete shift in the teaching-learning process within no time.

The schools’ spirit wasn’t dampening by the pandemic and continued with online exams, virtual assemblies, festivities, Summer Camp and even competitions by successful usage of virtual mediums.

For those students who opted to come to campus, BIS successfully resumed its on-campus classes also in October 2020 while following all the health and safety procedures as laid down by MOE and MOH to combat COVID-19.

BIS van guarded Inter GCC and Inter-School competitions viz. Bhavans International School Quiz (BISQ) and Bhavanodaya through a virtual platform.

The school is looking forward to another much-awaited event such as the Annual Award Ceremony (through a virtual medium) and commencement of Senior Secondary wing to add another feather in its cap.

Under the able leadership of Directors Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma and Principal Saji Jacob, the school is bound to reach many milestones in the future.
