8,901 fined in Bahrain for not wearing face masks

The number of violations for not wearing face masks in public had reached 8,901 in less than a month, from January 1 to January 26, while the number of violations for large public gatherings reached 518, revealed Public Security head Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan.
They were all fined BD20 for failure to adhere to the Kingdom’s national campaign aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Wearing a face mask in public in Bahrain has been compulsory since April last year.
