Civil Defence registers 774 fire safety-related violations against shops, restaurants in Bahrain

The General Directorate of Civil Defence has registered 774 violations related to fire protection conditions against shops, restaurants and bakeries
The violations were reported during inspection campaigns conducted by the Protection and Safety Directorate to protect lives and property.
The Directorate also conducted multilingual awareness campaigns about the importance of fire distinguishers and smoke detection devices, emergency lights, alarm systems, and other safety requirements at shops.
The Directorate called upon shop owners to hire companies to install and maintain fire extinguishing and alarm systems that are authorised by the Civil Defence and listed in its website www.gdcd.gov.bh.
