New Airport Terminal to boost development in Bahrain, GCC: UAE Ambassador

UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, has affirmed the specific nature of the solid strategic fraternal relations between his country and Bahrain, noting that the strength of bilateral ties emanates from the distinguished relations between the two countries and peoples.
The ambassador extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the opening of the new Bahrain International Airport Terminal, describing it as a milestone development monument.
He indicated that the implementation of the project reflects the spirit of complementarity and cooperation between the two brotherly countries, adding that the new airport will contribute to the development march not only in Bahrain, but also across the Arabian Gulf region.
The envoy also congratulated the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Board of Directors Chairman of the Bahrain Airport Company, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, on the inauguration of the state-of-the-art terminal.
He pointed out that the ongoing cooperation between the two countries across various fields stems from the spirit of fraternity and common destiny shared by them.
He affirmed that the airport expansion project is among the largest projects implemented in the kingdom, as the new terminal is four times the size of the existing one, enabling the airport to double its passenger handling capacity to 14 million annually.
He also highlighted the project’s multiple associated facilities, including 5,500 car parks and the complex of central services.
