Speaker affirms parliamentary support for Bahraini youth

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal has affirmed unwavering parliamentary support for enriching youth cultural production. The Speaker also called for strengthening social partnership to develop the cultural sector and motivate youth to engage in publication, authorship and documentation, given the importance of educated youth in ensuring a more prosperous future for the nation.

She lauded the progress made by Bahraini youth, under the comprehensive development march spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She indicated that the kingdom’s strides in the field of women advancement are the fruitful outcome of the royal support, the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the distinguished work, well-thought-out planning and sound directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.

The Speaker made the statements while receiving yesterday Dr Ahmed Al Khuzaie, who presented her a copy of his book “The Kingdom of Bahrain: Political Review”; poet and author Israa Louri, who presented her a copy of her book on the secrets of power in a woman; Abeer Ahmed, who presented her copies of her doctoral thesis on the impact of marital status on comparative Bahraini legislation and book on electoral crimes; and researcher Mohammed Saad Al Ruwaie, who presented her a copy of his book on the democratic transformations during the era of HM the King.

Zainal commended the efforts exerted by researchers to compile their books, praising their contributions to enriching the Bahraini Library with valuable studies and research that confirm the progress of the Bahraini society and reflect its civilisation.
