The Simulation and Medical Skills Centre at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) was awarded by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in the United States as the best among the SSH-accredited centres for the year 2020.
AGU President Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohaly affirmed that the selection of the centre as the best in the world in the year 2020 is an honourable accomplishment.
The university invested in developing the centre through the recruitment of qualified and distinguished medical personnel, the provision of advanced technical equipment, such as electronic simulators, and the development of training programmes, procedures and educational and administrative systems, in order to achieve harmony between the theoretical and practical curriculum for the clinical stage of the fifth and sixth years of education in the Doctor of Medicine programme.
Dr Al Ohaly stressed AGU’s keenness to provide the Simulation and Medical Skills Centre with all the electrical medical devices and simulators to achieve the practical training objectives.
