The AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has provided 17 laptops to the Friendship Society for the Blind to help students keep up with their studies and education more conveniently.
This is under the foundation’s “100 laptops” initiative which is aimed at providing laptops to all students and enhancing “remote learning” efforts in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It has contributed to the national efforts in encouraging students to be more prepared and adaptive with the remote learning process under the current circumstances.
The initiative also aims to create a positive impact on society by emphasising the sense of social responsibility towards the Kingdom and its people, while influencing individuals and companies to participate in charitable works.
It embodies the values of MKF, which highlights the importance of education as a right for all and spreads the value of giving.
Commenting on this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, chairperson of the MKF Board of Trustees, said: “We believe that education is a right for all, and as part of our social responsibility, we have decided to list Friendship Society for the Blind as one of the beneficiaries of our “100 laptops” initiative, which we have previously launched, by granting them with 17 laptops.
” MKF is a non-profit foundation registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
Established in 2011 in Bahrain, its aim is to make a social impact in the education field and to empower Bahraini youth to reach their optimum potential.
By providing Bahraini youth with knowledge, skills and character, it is hoped that they will be able to develop themselves and their Kingdom further.
