Muharraq steps up campaign to inspect expatriate workers’ houses

Muharraq Governorate representatives will continue its field inspection campaign by visiting the houses of expatriate workers.
It is part of the Governorate’s initiatives to implement the national health protocol to contain the spread of the coronavirus and maintain public safety.
Through this effort, the governorate will be able to determine the living conditions of expatriate workers and in the process apply regulations and requirements related to security and safety.
The Deputy Governor of Muharraq Governorate, Brigadier Abdullah Khalifa Al Jeeran, confirmed that a team visited several expatriate workers’ houses in the Muharraq Market area.
The Committee for Inventorying the Housing of Expatriate Workers was formed under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of Muharraq Governorate, and its membership includes the Police Directorate of Muharraq Governorate, Ministry of Health, Electricity and Water Authority, and Muharraq Municipality.
Present during the visit were Lieutenant Colonel Abdulaziz Al Baker, the security coordination officer in the governorate, and representatives of the concerned authorities in the committee.
During the visit, the concerned authorities had identified some violations related to the safety of expatriate workers’ housing.
The Deputy Governor thanked all parties participating in this inspection campaign, stressing that it is a continuation of the efforts of the governorate to serve the country and citizens and ensure their safety
