BDF Bahrain’s protective shield: HM King

Bahrain Defence Force personnel are the “protective shield of the nation, and are always a source of pride of everyone,” said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday marking the BDF’s 53rd anniversary.

“Bahrain is proud of the efforts exerted by all the BDF affiliates to protect the Kingdom’s achievements, national unity and the citizens’ security with competence, patriotic spirit and determination,” said HM the King.

The Supreme Commander was receiving in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, the Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, at the Safriya Palace yesterday.

Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, and several senior BDF officers were present.

They congratulated HM the King on the anniversary, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect HM King Hamad to continue enhancing the development march.

HM, the King affirmed that the anniversary of the BDF is a milestone in the Kingdom’s national march.

“BDF is progressing steadily, thanks to the patriotic efforts of its brave personnel,” said His Majesty extending congratulations to all the BDF officers, non-commissioned officers, servicemen and citizens.

Cardiac Centre, a quantum leap in health care: HM King On the newly inaugurated Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Cardiac Specialist Centre, His Majesty said the facility “will bring about a quantum leap in the field of health services and care in the Kingdom.” Expressing pride in the state-of-the-art hospital, King Hamad congratulated the BDF on the inauguration of the Centre.

New vessels for BDF The Supreme Commander also lauded the inauguration of several new war vessels that will join the BDF and other modern projects to be opened marking the anniversary.

HM King Hamad hailed the efforts of BDF as part of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19), under the leadership of HRH Prime Minister to ensure the safety and security of all in Bahrain.

King Hamad said that joint work would continue to eradicate the global pandemic as soon as possible.

His Majesty paid tribute to the BDF Commander-in-Chief for his continuous efforts to develop the BDF, thanking all the brave BDF servicemen for their dedication in serving the nation.

King Hamad hailed the BDF’s contributions to the Kingdom’s development march, citing its commendable efforts to the health, housing and sports fields.

HM, the King wished every success to brave BDF heroes, who are taking part in noble missions outside Bahrain, alongside their brethren from brotherly and friendly countries.

HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister presented HM the King with a commemorative gift on the national occasion.
