A string of back lucks, mishaps, hardships and tragedies haunted him one after another as if there is no tomorrow.

Worst of all, he never had the chance to see his dear ones back home, all these years, not even once.

Thanks to Sudheer Thirunilath and India Embassy, his long ordeal has come to an end. Late-night yesterday, Singh flew back to his kith and kins in Amritsar, after securing an out pass.

He is now slowly getting his life back together.

He could have met his family much before the end of the amnesty offered by the Kingdom, but a case lingering since 2003 derailed his reunion plans.

According to Sudheer Thirunilath, the Director of Humanitarian Aid World NRI Council and Country Head Pravasi Legal Cell, Singh didn’t have any documents to correct his legal status.

However, an out-pass was secured with the help of Rakesh Sharma, who arranged necessary documents from India.

It was then that immigration officials found he had a case against him pending since 2003, further delaying the process.

Indian Embassy Lawyer Adv. Bushra worked to remove the case and travel ban.

But Singh’s bad luck continued with him suffering an accident, causing him to take off another six-months of his life. Admitted to Salmaniya Medical complex, he walked back to life with the constant support of hospital authorities and doctors.

Salmaniya hospital authorities, Doctors, Nurses and Bahrain Social workers sponsored the treatment. Constant care brought him back to life and is now fit as a fiddle.

His mother and whole family extended their gratitude to all those who helped him to travel back. Sudheer Thirunilath thanked embassy officials, Piyush Shrivastava, Indian Ambassador, RS Sukhla Second Secretary, Priyanka Consular Attache, Suren Lal, Cheythana, Labour Section, Bahrain Immigration Authorities, Lt. Colonel Talal Al Taqi, Nayeef Al Sharooqi, Captain Yousaf Jamal, Durjan Shakeel Ahmed, Nisar Al Bushi, Embassy Lawyer Adv.
