The Bahrain Medical Association has conveyed the appeal of many doctors and health personnel working on the front lines in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

The health workers are appealing to grant them compensation for their continuous arduous efforts for more than a year to protect the people in Bahrain from the pandemic.

The association appreciated the great support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has helped Bahrain occupy a prominent position globally in the fight against the virus.

It confirmed that the health and medical personnel will always remain in the front lines and harness themselves to be in the first line of defence to maintain health security in the Kingdom.

The association affirmed that looking at the conditions of national medical and health cadres in the front rows of government hospital employees and volunteers will enhance their ability to carry out the heavy tasks entrusted to them with dedication and sincerity, by paying a reward or a risk bonus to them, or any other means that sharpen their resolve.

The association expressed its confidence that doctors and health personnel on the front lines will receive the material support they seek during the coming period, especially since they enjoy all the support and attention from the wise leadership as well as governmental and private institutions.
