Bahrain will remain a model and an ideal place for peaceful coexistence and tolerance among different religions and beliefs.

This was the essence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s message as he received at Safriya Palace yesterday the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Board of Trustees Chairman Dr Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and its members, as well as Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal Al Dosari.

HM King, a prominent global leader in fostering a culture of peace, understanding and brotherhood among the people of the world, affirmed that Bahrain will remain an all-inclusive country of pluralism as well as cultural, religious and humanitarian coexistence.

He stressed that the Kingdom will maintain its approach of moderation and openness on the world while holding to its inherent national fundamentals.

Yesterday’s meeting was held on the occasion of the inauguration of the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain in South America starting from Brazil.

The inauguration was held last December in cooperation with Bahrain’s embassy in Brazil and in conjunction with the Kingdom’s celebration of the National Day and HM the King’s Accession to the Throne.

It was attended by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

HM the King affirmed that the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence is the best ambassador for the Kingdom, noting that peaceful coexistence, tolerance and peace have become more influential in boosting this field.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to the Brazilian president for his support to Bahrain’s trends and initiatives, which reflects deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries and peoples and their perpetual growth in all areas.
