National Action Charter opened doors for modern Bahrain!

In a statement, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs said, “HM the King presented an advanced philosophy for reform through his reform project.” He noted that the Charter has contributed to the Kingdom’s comprehensive growth, earning Bahrain international respect.

“The National Action Charter opened all doors for young people to engage in the process of construction and modernization in Bahrain, as they are the real asset and hope for the future,” Shaikh Nasser added.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), said, “The NAC anniversary will remain engraved in the memory of all Bahraini people.” Shaikh Khalid also hailed the wide-ranging development strides led by HM the King.

Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, said, “NAC anniversary is an opportunity to recall with pride the great cohesion between the leadership and the people.” Al-Mubarak stressed that the national project had widened horizons of Bahrain in the political, social, cultural, media and service fields.

“NAC reflects the insightful and strategic vision of His Majesty King Hamad in developing Bahrain into a modern and civil state,” Dr Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah, the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, and Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) said. She expressed great pride in the progress, development and active presence of Bahraini women in all fields, reflecting the National Action Charter.

House of Representative said the Charter represented the “popular will” and was one of the most prominent achievements of the Kingdom.

MPs called on all to continue to preserve the authentic national identity, the cohesion of the GCC system, joint Arab and Islamic action, human principles and concepts.

Mohamed Ali Al-Qaed, the Chief Executive Officer of the Information and eGovernment Authority, said, “The Charter is the most prominent achievements of Bahrain” highlighting the gains of Kingdom in digital transformation.

Bahrain now provides more than 500 electronic services through ‘bahrain.bh’, the national portal, he added.

Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, the Chairman of the Shura Council, said, “The Charter defined Bahrain’s cultural and historical identity, set the basic foundations for the state and society, shaped Bahrain’s Gulf, Arab and international relations, and paved the way for a democratic march.” “The legislative authority has proven that it has been a means for popular participation in decision-making,” he affirmed, pointing out the success of the bicameral parliamentary system in Bahrain.

Shaikh Hamad bin Isa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the National Action Charter Monument Director-General, said, “Since its inauguration in 2010, the monument hosted several celebrations of major national occasions, out of its keenness to assume its national role, and achieve the goals of its establishment, based on HM the King’s directives.” Ombudsman Nawaf Mohammed Al-Ma’awda described the charter as a “defining moment in the modern history of Bahrain, which paved the way for landmark political, economic, development and social strides.”

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi described the NAC anniversary as a source of pride which inspires the values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland and HM the King.

Adviser for Media Affairs at the Crown Prince’s Court, Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi, said, “Bahrainis have every right to be proud of all the achievements and gains made in light of the comprehensive development process led by HM King Hamad over the past two decades.”

The National Action Charter is now available in English language, thanks to Bahrain Institute for Political Development. The book, BIPD said, is available for download on its website bipd.org. BIPD said the English version help people explore the Charter in detail and the values of Bahraini society. “The Charter throws light on the system of governance, social consensus and the principles that govern the political process in the Kingdom,” said the Institute in a statement.
