Dirt road paving, catering for Gulf Air in Israel, uniform for BAC fire and rescue

Paving works of dirt roads in the Nasifa district of the Capital Governorate are to begin soon, for which the tender board had received 19 bids.
According to Tender Board, the independent regulatory body charged with supervising government bidding and bidding practices, bids are for paving the dirt road 3,330 and those surrounding Block 733 in the Nasifa district. The bids ranged between BHD 394,744.470 and BHD 792,393.940.
National Excavating Est quoted the lowest amount and Al Ahlia Contracting Company the highest. The details emerged as the board opened 51 bids received for nine tenders placed by six administrative bodies in the Kingdom.
1,022 tenders in 2020
Latest reports say the tender board awarded a total of 1,022 tenders with an aggregate value of USD2.7bn in the first nine months of 2020. The oil and gas sector accounted for 27.2% of the total value, while the construction and engineering industry had 162 tender approvals worth USD704.8mn (26.1% of the total value).
According to the Q3 2020 Bahrain Economic Report, the GCC Development Fund, until the end of Q3 2020, allowed USD7.4bn for various infrastructure projects.
Catering services in Israel
According to a tender by Gulf Air, the airline company is looking for catering services onboard plane at Ben Gurion International Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Tamam Aircraft Food Industries ltd which quoted ILS 117.000 was the sole bidder. Gulf Air also had another tender seeking restaurant services at the headquarters of Gulf Air. Al Rayah Catering offered to take up the job for BHD 107,415.000. The tender stands suspended.
Uniform for BAC’s fire and rescue team
A tender by the Bahrain Airport Company said it is looking for a uniform supplier for its fire and rescue officers.
The tender attracted eight bidders, who quoted between BHD 20,840.400 and BHD 96,673.500. Mathias Middle East Trading Est quoted the lowest amount.
Meters boxes, electric connectors
Amongst others, the committee opened three tenders for the Central Warehouse Department of the Electricity and Water Authority.
The first was for purchasing electrical connectors, for which received three bids. The second for water meter boxes received four bids.
Another tender by EWA for ground cables received eight quotes, ranging between BHD 136,920.000 and BHD 185,535.000. Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons quoted the lowest amount.
Tech support for BAPCO
In the oil and gas sector, the committee opened a tender for the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) for technical support and maintenance of the handling arms. The contract for five years received a single bid of GBP 366,350.000 from Woodfield Systems Ltd.
Bnet auditing
Finally, the committee opened a tender by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) for auditing Bnet’s information systems and information technology systems. The tender received six disclosed bids.
Representatives of the administering parties and the companies participating in the tenders were present at the opening process. Best bids will be awarded depending on conditions and the lowest price.
