Project to build main rainwater drainage line in Al Aker area

Work is underway to build a main rainwater drainage line to connect the housing project in Al Aker area to complex 624 and 626.
The Undersecretary for Works Affairs at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Ahmad Eid Al Aziz Al Khayyat said that the project will build rainwater pools in the area.
It comes within a series of efforts aimed at developing the infrastructure in all governorates and establishing solutions to flooding problems during the rainy season.
The Rain Committee formed by the Ministry, in coordination with the municipal councils, stressed that the Ministry is keen to follow up all the projects it implements.
It includes the projects to build rainwater drainage networks to meet the needs of citizens and residents in the various regions of the Kingdom and provide them with the best infrastructure services, in addition to carrying out maintenance work and taking the necessary measures in various rainwater gathering sites to avoid problems expected during rainy seasons.
It also includes the construction of approximately one-kilometre drainage network from the main lines.
