Bahrain has strongly condemned Iran-backed Houthi militias’ attacks on oil tanks in Ras Tanura Port and Aramco facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with explosives-laden drones on Sunday.
During yesterday’s weekly online meeting chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Cabinet stressed the firm position of the Kingdom in supporting Saudi Arabia against all attempts targeting its sovereignty, security and stability.
The Cabinet said that such reckless actions threaten the lives of innocent civilians as well as the security of global energy-supply chains, calling it a flagrant violation of international law.
It expressed support for all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its national security and the safety of its citizens and residents against the terrorist acts.
The Cabinet recognised the importance of ongoing cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities, noting that effective cooperation between the two branches has ensured citizens’ needs are met in the state’s general budget for the fiscal years 2021-2022.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Cabinet underlined progress made in the political, economic and social lives of Bahraini women as a direct result of ongoing work and initiatives by the Supreme Council for Women, under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Women.
The Cabinet also welcomed public authority monitoring and auditing of expatriate-workers’ accommodation to ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety measures, and directed a review of related regulation.
