HRH Prince Salman opens new chapter in ever-growing Bahrain-Saudi cooperation

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister concluded his successful visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia yesterday.

The visit laid the foundation for a new chapter in Bahrain-Saudi bilateral relations as they strengthened strategic partnership and cooperation to achieve more gains for the two countries.

HRH Prince Salman highlighted the depth of solid deep-rooted ties which continue to receive the support of both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Bahrain affirmed its solid support for the safety and stability of Saudi Arabia, emphasising the Kingdom’s strategic role and commitment to serving the causes of Arab and Islamic nations being the cornerstone of regional stability.

HRH Prince Salman held talks with Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh as they pledged commitment to bolstering steadily-growing and wide-ranging cooperation across various fields.

HRH Prince Mohammed wished Bahrain further development and prosperity under the leadership of HM the King.

At the end of his visit, HRH Prince Salman sent a cable of thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, wishing him good health and the Kingdom security, safety and more progress.

Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh hailed the visit of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the deep-rooted relations binding the two kingdoms.

Al Saleh commended the pivotal role and strategic depth of Saudi Arabia, which represents the cornerstone of regional security, stability and peace the pillar of development and progress in the region.

He reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to Saudi Arabia, backing all steps and measures taken by Riyadh authorities to bolster security and stability, withstand all challenges and foil continued terrorist attacks which are perpetrated by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.
