The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) has started accepting applications for its 2022 scholarship program through its website, www. cpisp.bh. Eligible to apply are Bahraini students who are set to graduate in 2022 with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 97% over the course of Grade 10 and the first semester of Grade 11.

The program has started receiving applications for scholarships on March 1 and the deadline is on March 25, 2021.

The final ten scholarship recipients, five males and five females from public and private schools, will be announced in April next year.

Shatha Ahmed Ali, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs, said that applicants for the grants must fill out the form and submit it electronically via the website with the following attachments: Official transcripts in English, covering Grade 10 and the first semester of Grade 11, scanned-copies of an identification document, and a recent passport picture.

She explained that after receiving the applications and conducting the qualifying tests to determine the level of English language and intellectual skills, at least 60 male and female students will be selected. Forty seats will be allocated to public schools and 20 seats for private schools, and half of the seats will be allocated to females and the other half to males, based on their cumulative rates and test results.

The program will provide the candidates with the opportunity to benefit from the various training workshops organised during the summer period and the beginning of the first semester of the next academic year.

The selection process for scholarships is based on special criteria set by the program, including the GPA, in addition to the results of the IELTS exam, SAT exams in critical reading, mathematics and writing, and the results of the training programs organised during the summer period.
