Bahrain Housing Ministry join hands with private sector to accelerate development

Efforts are underway to provide innovative housing and infrastructure solution in the Kingdom in partnership with the private sector, said the Ministry of Housing.
The deal aims at accelerating the pace of delivery and enhancing the quality of government services.
Accordingly, works are progressing to provide more housing-related services electronically.
The main elements of the ministry of housing’s digital transformation plan are expecting completion by mid-2021.
The move includes launching five new e-services.
The services are for availing housing services, making a status enquiry, updating contact details, applying for the Mazaya programme and submitting an application for finance.
For this, the ministry is exploiting the full potential of Artificial Intelligence in the digital services offered.
The ministry is moving ahead with housing projects in Salman Town, Khalifa town, East Hidd, East Sitra, Wadi Al Sail, and Qalali.
During 2020, the ministry said it completed 45,000 transactions online, effectively producing a 75 % reduction in congestion time for housing service application.
Housing finance services, which allows buying, construction and restoration, funding reached BD19 million during 2020, benefiting 600 Bahrainis.
Of which, a total of 7,001 beneficiaries are part of the Mazaya programme.
The average prices of the housing units were BD109,000.
