Muharraq allows fitness facilities to use public parks

Muharraq Municipal Council has approved using parks and gardens by gym owners for practising sports and physical activities.
The Public Services and Utilities Committee of Muharraq Municipal Council’s made the decision based on a proposal by Ghazi Al-Mirbati, the head of the Municipal Council.
Mirbati proposed to utilise public parks for gym activities by limiting the number of participating people to 30.
The National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus, in its recommendations, allows people to practice sporting activities in open spaces amid the pandemic.
Separately, the Financial and Legal Committee of Muharraq Municipal Council recommended last Monday to stop collecting municipal fees, which come to 15% for furnished apartments and hotels, during the Corona pandemic.
