F1 stimulates national economy: BCCI Chairman
Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al Moayyed expressed his pride on the 11th anniversary of hosting Formula One Grand Prix in Bahrain.
He said, “The Formula 1 is a delightful sport event hosted in Bahrain since 2004, and has had tremendous economic returns.” Al Moayed added, “It is a very popular sports event and fans from around the world flock to Bahrain to enjoy it.”
Al Moayyed emphasized the role of the event in invigorating business activities in the country and providing international exposure and recognition to local businesses.
He said, “Many opportunities await local businesses as tourists flock to Bahrain, bringing with them purchasing power and high demand for goods and services.”
“Businesses should seize this opportunity by launching promotion campaigns and offering their best goods and services,” he added stressing, “The occasion also comprises of investment and partnership opportunities for the local businesses.”
He extended appreciation to all involved in organizing this major event and other events that have contributed to putting Bahrain on the world map and exhibiting the openness and friendliness of its people.
