Navy Bahrain’s protective shield: BDF chief

The Dawn exercise has enhanced the capabilities of Bahraini maritime combat units in protecting the territorial and economic waters of the Kingdom, said Bahrain Defence Force Commander-in-Chief. “ The maritime combat units are highly-capable with well-qualified Bahraini youngsters,” said Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

Shaikh Khalifa was inspecting the final stages of the joint naval tactical exercise “Dawn of Storms / 25”.

He hailed the Royal Bahraini Navy as the protective shield of Bahrain that deters threats to navigation in the territorial and economic waters of the Kingdom.

The exercise was carried out by the Royal Bahraini Navy, with the units from the BDF, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Guard.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief listened to a briefing on the exercise objectives, stages and participating units, the operations, the command and the control.

The Dawn of Storms exercises, the BDF Chief said, reflects the Navy’s preparedness, plans and training programmes and proficient in using available force to confront various challenges.

Shaikh Khalifa expressed pride in the great efforts and high-efficiency exhibited during the training.

“Desert Flag / 6” Separately, The Royal Bahraini Air Force said it took part in the concluding stage of the joint air exercise “Desert Flag / 6” at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.

The Royal Bahraini Air Force Air group said it gained increased field capabilities and practical experiences in planning air operations and modern air combat actions.

The exercise included air forces from Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, the US, France, India and South Korea.
