The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) began distributing aid for the coming Holy Month of Ramadan to more than 4,000 families distributed over 73 cities and villages in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The distribution process continues for the next 10 days, each day of which is allocated to several close areas according to a specific schedule.
BRCS Secretary-General Mubarak Al Athey said that the society has taken all precautionary measures to ensure the smooth and easy distribution of aid to the beneficiaries amidst the strict implementation of the precautionary measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Small teams work at different periods of the day.
He expressed his thanks to the volunteers and BRCS members, especially in the services committee for their tireless work to meet the needs of the people.
The BRCS called on companies, institutions and philanthropists, as well as citizens and residents, to help make the aid programme successful just like last year by giving donations.
