Clean-up campaign in Karbabad coast successful

The Capital Municipality has organised a clean-up campaign in the Karbabad coast in cooperation with the Westin Hotel, Le Meridien Bahrain City Center, Sheraton Hotel and Marriott Hotel.

Public Relations and Media Committee of the Capital Secretariat head Dr Maha Al Shehab said that the campaign was launched last Saturday morning in cooperation with the Capital Municipality, which provided basic tools for cleaning.

Westin Hotel and Le Meridien Bahrain City Center employees participated in the event.

“This comes out of our responsibility towards the environment and its preservation.

The campaign is part of a series of programmes prepared by the committee under the slogan “My Capital Is More Beautiful” to beautify the capital and preserve the environment,” she said.

“These awareness and environmental programmes are continuing.

We also launched a few days ago a regional afforestation programme in Salhia, Al Qalaa and Juffair, in cooperation with the private sector and the people.

“This is a call to the private sector and civil institutions for more cooperation and spreading positive behaviours that will preserve the cleanliness and beauty of the capital.”

Dr Al Shehab thanked the management of Westin Hotel and Le Meridien Bahrain City Center as well as the executive body of the Capital Municipality for the continuous cooperation with the Capital Trust Council.
