HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, extended their sincere thanks and deep appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for issuing Law 8/2021 regarding professionalism in sports.

Shaikh Nasser stressed that the law will develop the youth and sports movement in the kingdom, and make its administrative and technical systems more stable, as well as contribute to increasing sports achievements.

In a statement, Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the sports movement in Bahrain has made quantum leaps thanks to HM the King’s unlimited support, and unwavering keenness to support Bahraini athletes, noting that the new legislation will further advance the sports movement in the kingdom and make it professional.

Shaikh Nasser paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, whose support, he said, has significantly contributed to the issuance of the Sports Professionalism Law.
