Civilian reservists join Bahrain Defence Force

The first batch of civilian volunteers took their oath yesterday at three separate graduation ceremonies held at the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Military Sports Association and Royal Air Defence.

Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, attended the passing out ceremony of the civilian volunteers at the Bahrain Defence Force’s Reserve Force held at the Royal Bahrain Naval Force.

The greetings of the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, were conveyed to the graduates by the minister.

Lieutenant-General Thiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, the BDF Chief of Staff, took part in the graduation ceremony held at the Military Sports Association for the civilian volunteers of the BDF Reserve Force

Major-General Shaikh Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Assistant Chief of Staff for Human Resources, participated in the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the civilian volunteers for the BDF Reserve Force, held at the Royal Air Defence.

The graduates took the official oath and received prizes and certificates from the Defence Affairs Minister, Chief of Staff and Assistant Chief of Staff for Human Resources. Relatives of affiliates and retirees of the BDF and the National Guards are part of the reserve force volunteers.
