HM King directs to allow entry to mosques for all those vaccinated

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directive to keep the doors of mosques and funerals open for worship during the holy month of Ramadan has received nationwide applause.

“We highly appreciate the directives of His Majesty to allow mosques and funerals to receive their visitors to conduct collective worship during the blessed month of Ramadan,” said Muhammad Taher AlMadani.

“This is not strange for His Majesty, as we have always witnessed such kind initiatives and noble stances from him,” he added. “It is our pleasure to present our highest expressions of gratitude to His Majesty the King,” said the heads of the mosques and Hussainiities in a statement.

The statement added: “We highly value the interest of His Majesty in developing adequate plans and programmes to preserve the society and protect it from the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic.” “This interest is evident from the works of the Coordinating Committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HM, the King has ordered to allow entry to all those who received the vaccination. Entrance will be allowed 14 days after receiving the second dose, after ensuring necessary precautionary measures.

Sheikh Muhammad Mulla Al-Toplani said the royal directives brought joy and happiness to citizens amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fuad Ahmed Al Hajji, a member of the Shura Council, said the royal order affirms the right to conduct religious rites as stipulated in the Constitution and the National Action Charter.

Al-Hajji said, “The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and the Sunni and Ja`fari endowments are ensuring vigorous efforts to implement the recommendations of the national medical team.” Dr Majeed Mohsen Al-Asfoor, a member of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad International Center for Peaceful Coexistence and a former member of the House of Representatives, said the directives reflect the success of Bahrain in battling the pandemic.

Dr Al Asfour thanked HRH Prince Salman and HM the King for providing all facilities to practice religious ritual safely. Dr Ahmed Al-Banna, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hussainiyya Al-Banna’in in Muharraq, said this step comes at the right time. “The mankind now needs a lot to resort to God Almighty to rid the world of the deadly epidemic.”

“We hope that the places of worship, including the Hussainiyat, will remain open throughout the year,” Dr Al-Banna stressed. The head of the Jaafari Endowments, Yusef bin Saleh Al Saleh, extended thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Salman and HM the King for providing all facilities to hold prayers and revive rituals ensuring the safety and health of all.

“The decision reflects the constant care of HM the King to spread joy and happiness in the hearts of citizens,” said Al Saleh.
