Stimulate national economy in order to create more quality jobs for Bahrainis: Labour Minister

Labour and Social Development Minister and Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan chaired LMRA’s Board of Directors meeting.

The minister stressed the importance of stimulating the national economy to create more quality job opportunities for citizens as it is the first choice when hiring, noting cooperation necessity between the three production parties to achieve the government's vision and aspirations for "creating sustainable economic and social security" in Bahrain.

Minister Humaidan said that LMRA continues to support the existing cooperation with the authorities related to the labour market, and in this way it carries out its role in support of the stability and balance of the labour market, finding solutions that meet the needs of the national economy and giving it flexibility that enhances its competitiveness and its ability to adapt to different circumstances, where the authority works to implement a package of projects and procedures regulating the market in coordination with representatives of the productive sectors, including business owners and workers. 

 He noted the executive management’s keenness to increase the effectiveness, productivity and high pre-preparedness of electronic work, which contributed to the continuation of its work mechanisms with the same capacity and efficiency.

The Board of Directors approved the audited financial report for 2020 as well as the annual report of the Executive Management for the same year and reviewed the estimated budget for 2021 and the authority’s plans and future projects.
