Laptops for Shura employees, roads for Hamad town, Isa town and more

Plans are on the anvil to provide laptops for Shura Council employees as part of a digital transformation project. The laptop for general secretariat staff, Shura council said, aims at improving their productivity and creativity.

A tender launched by the council for the project yesterday will close on the ninth of next month. Those who wish to participate in the above tender have to purchase the tender documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board’s portal https://e-tendering.tenderboard.gov.bh. 

The micro, small, and medium enterprises are eligible to obtain a 10% preference when submitting the “SMEs Classification Certificate” during bidding for the government tenders and auctions, based on the Cabinet’s resolutions no. 2416- 04 of 2019.

For this, SMEs should submit their application on the SMEs Registration System using the link https://www.moic.gov.bh/ en/eServices/Pages/sme.aspx to obtain the certificate.

New roads

Tender board documents also said the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning is planning to improve the roads at Souq Waqif Hamad Town and Roads at Isa Town - block 805. The contract duration of the Hamad town roads is 20 weeks, and the Isa Town project is 36 weeks. Roads to be constructed at Isa Town are six meters wide, two lanes single carriageway, internal roads. The tender for the Hamad Town project closes on 26th and Isa town on 19th next month.

Doctors for Bahrain university

Bahrain University Health Centre is looking forward to appointing two female doctors fluent in Arabic and English. Eligible candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine and at least a year of experience.

The appointment is for two years and seven months. A tender opened earlier this month for the purpose closes on Wednesday. The Tender Board, the independent regulatory affairs charged with overseeing government bidding and bidding practices, also opened 36 bids received for nine tenders offered by six administrative bodies.

11 Saloon vehicles

A tender by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development said the ministry is hiring 11 saloon vehicles without drivers. The tender attracted seven bidders whose bids ranged between BHD 47,474.280 and BHD 99,099.000. Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons emerged as the lowest bidders.

Another tender by the Works Ministry for purchasing fire protection systems for a warehouse at the Building Maintenance Department complex in Muharraq received five bids. The quotes ranged between BHD 42,874.787 and BHD 165,025.500. Secure Services Limited made the lowest quote.

Infrastructure evaluation for 160 schools

The Ministry of Education said it wants to conduct an infrastructure evaluation in 160 public schools in the Kingdom. A tender placed for the job attracted three bidders.

BHD 144,000.000 by Millet Engineering Bureau was the lowest bid. The board also opened eight bids for a tender by the Ministry of Interior for purchasing computers and accessories.

Ashrafs’ quote of BHD 104,081.250 emerged as the lowest. The committee opened a tender for the Electricity and Water Authority regarding maintenance of electrical transformers of 11, 21 and 33 thousand kilovolts. The tender attracted three bids.

The board further opened three tenders for the Central Warehouses Department of the Electricity and Water Authority.

The first was for purchasing insulating oil for a power transmission station, which received two bids. The second for purchasing 11-kilovolt cables and the third for purchasing 21-kilovolt cables both received three quotes.

Finally, the committee opened a tender for the General Poultry Company for supplying laying chicks feed. The tender received two bids
