Bahraini women entrepreneurs hailed for major achievements

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised Bahraini women’s achievements in the entrepreneurship field and their contribution to the national economy.
He lauded the innovative and creative environment in the financial and business sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Shura Council head was speaking as he received yesterday Bahrain Businesswomen Society president Ahlem Janahi, in the presence of Shura Council’s Woman and Child Affairs Committee head Dr Ibtissem Mohammed Saleh Al Dalal, Council’s Services Committee deputy head Hala Ramzi Fayez and Dr Fawzia Yusef Al Jib, the assistant secretary General for Relations, Media and Research Affairs and head of the Equal Opportunities Committee. Janahi presented a briefing on the society’s documentary bookmarking its 20th anniversary.
Al Saleh expressed pride and appreciation of the care accorded by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the private sector. He praised the initiatives aimed at ensuring the sustainability of economic growth, commending the unflinching support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), to women’s rights and empowerment.
Al Saleh lauded the important role played by the Society in supporting female entrepreneurs and directing them towards investing in promising fields.
He pointed out the society’s numerous contributions over the past two decades in further engaging Bahraini businesswomen in economic development.
Janahi thanked the Shura Council chairman and members for their keenness on boosting legislation aimed at achieving more economic growth and prosperity.
