Stringent actions were taken against violators of commercial registration in the Capital Governorate during an inspection campaign, said Labour Inspection Department at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority. LMRA held the campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

Officials ensured compliance with the laws of LMRA, health and municipal departments during the campaign. Dr Khaled Abdul Rahman, Deputy CEO for Legal Control of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, said the authority would continue to organise joint campaigns to reduce illegal employment in the Kingdom.

“This is to ensure adherence to municipal and health requirements and maintain a work environment with a high degree of competitiveness and stability,” Dr Rahman said.

The cases booked during Wednesday’s campaign are with the Public Prosecution, he added. Dr Rahman urged the public to report about illegal workers or any complaints related to the labour market by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
