Travellers entering via the King Fahad Causeway will no longer be required to submit themselves to a PCR test prior to arrival into the Kingdom of Bahrain. PCR or Polymerase Chain Reaction test is a pre-laboratory procedure to detect the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Likewise, precautionary quarantine will no longer be required.
These were among the new health guidelines issued by the King Fahad Causeway Authority to be followed by Bahraini citizens and authorised travellers before entering Bahrain.
The guidelines indicated the need for passengers to present vaccination and recovery certificates issued by the Ministry of Health in Bahrain or other GCC countries.
Passengers must present proof of vaccination through the official phone application approved by the GCC countries.
This decision aims to facilitate entry into the Kingdom from an important point of entry whilst observing precautionary measures aimed at mitigating the spread of the virus.
