HRH Prince Salman meets Abu Dhabi Crown Prince

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Al Shati Palace.

HRH Prince Salman highlighted the depth of historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE, noting that this deep bond continues to receive the full support of both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad to the President and Crown Prince of the UAE, wishing the UAE further progress and development. His Royal Highness noted the strength of cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and the UAE, which continues to be underpinned by a supportive, mutually beneficial partnership.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the UAE, emphasising the importance of further strengthening relations. Regional and international developments, as well as bilateral efforts to face common challenges, were discussed. HRH Prince Salman and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed exchanged Ramadan and Eid well wishes.

Later, HRH Prince Salman attended an iftar banquet hosted by His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, in honour of His Royal Highness and the accompanying delegation’s visit.

Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shaikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shakh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, a number of senior government officials from the UAE, the Minister of Interior, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the Ambassador of Bahrain to the UAE, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.

Upon his arrival yesterday, HRH Prince Salman was received by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed and His Highness Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE.
